the fact that the hotel was only a few miles from our directive was key to our staying ....we would stay again.

Bed was comfortable and I slept well.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
The bed. It sagged in the middle so badly you had to cling to the irons to stop falling into the middle and every movement disturbed your partner. We did mention it to reception but they did not seem overconcerned.
nothing in particular...it was a pleasant stay in nice suroundings....think the cooked breakfast could be much improved tho.
I thought the whole place was shabby and we were disappointed that we didn't feel we could eat there at most this hotel is a 2 star although the rooms have been refurbished they have not been done to a high enough standard, I would prefer a premier inn any day as these rooms don't reflect the price for a night. The whole place needs updating we won't be back sorry but if you have a lovely bedroom/house at home you'll be very tdisappointed.
Creaky floorboards throughout, dimly lit room, too hot, wallpaper peeling, other than guy on reception in morning staff were disinterested. Dinner arrived minus elements listed on menu and lukewarm. Overpriced and poor compared to other Marston Inns.
Hotel quite shabby and in need of refurbishment. Lack of attention to detail. More like a pub with rooms than the smart hotel it once was.
