  The room was large, clean and comfortable. The room faced inwards so we overlooked the glass roof of the pub but there was very little noise so I was happier than it overlooking the town square. The breakfast was good and the coffee was great. All the staff were really helpful especially when we were trying to find parking. If you arriving on a Friday try and get there for mid afternoo - In town square, very close to shops and restaurants. Good atmosphere in hotel bar. Comfortable bed and good facilities.

  Very friendly staff! We dropped off our bags on the way to Highclere. When we returned the bags were in our room and we checked in quickly. Its a good idea to arrange with your taxi to come back to Highclere to pick you up. We had a great dinner and breakfast the next day at the White Hart. The staff were friendly and courteous at all times, for me breakfast was a high point and I enjoyed every one, as well as the evening meals. The room I was in (top floor barn conversion) was roomy comfortable and warm, the bathroom could do with a makeover, although it was adequate, (plenty of hot water) I stayed for 10 nights and I was extremely happy with the level of service and the old world charm of the Inn, would I
