  The apartment was very comfortable, quiet and well located near the train station and the city center. The neighborhood appeared friendly and safe. There are many shops just a short walk away. It was also easily accessible, even for my dad who has reduced mobility. The apartment is equipped well enough for cooking a meal.   Our accommodation was actually a townhouse over 3 storeys just yards offthe royal mile. It was fantastic-clean and well equipped and would nothesitate to recommend it. In fact we plan to use it again very soon. Very good self catering facilities. The flat was provided with clean towels and hair dryers for each room. It even had sky tv. Walking distance to royal mile and the castle.   Lovely host who couldn't do enough for us. We stayed in the Oriental room and the decor and bed were fantastic. The facilities were excellent as we could prepare a meal in the kitchen and eat it at the beautiful oak dining table in the lounge/dining room. This was followed by the landlord texting us and calling us with the c/in details. Arival and stay was hassle-free. Sav was very helpful and even supplied us with bread and cereal for breakfast. Though we only met on the last day of our stay - she ensured that she called every day and inquired into our stay and gave us hints on how to enjoy Edinburgh better.
