I had booked a small room which proved to be lovely decorated. It was located at the back of the house and had all I could wish for. Teapot, plenty of biscuits, two bottles of water, some chocolates. Ross was an exceptional host. His nature/personality is perfect to be the Host of Royston.
His Home/Guest House is warm and inviting as he is what a wonderful time we had plenty of talking, laughter and good times.
Nothing was too much trouble and the cleaniness and décor was just like home.

The room was clean and well appointed with plenty of drawer and wardrobe space. A nice lounge area for guests. Piping hot breakfast served at table and good choice on buffet.Two establishments close by for evening meals. The owner was friendly and offered local advice. I would recommend staying here to friends and family.

The staff were incredible. We left early, before breakfast the breakfast hours had started, and they were kind enough to pack us sandwiches and fruit to take with us on the train.
The rooms were bright and clean, and both the mattresses and the pillows were deliciously comfortable. (This was in contrast to previous hotels on our trip.) I would very happily stay here again.

Made to feel very welcome with drinks on the patio on arrival. Room very clean and modern and perfect location to walk into town. We were able to leave our bags all day after checkout which saved a lot if discomfort carrying these around on a very hot day. The owner was,very friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble. Would definitely recommend to others and return.

Perfect location for exploring Inverness and the surrounding area. Naim
was the best host we had out of six B&Bs we stayed at during our
three week Scotland trip. He provided a lot of valuable information
each morning regarding the area based on our plans for the day. The
twin room had a great view of Inverness Castle at night. Ample portions
at breakfast were delicious and provided an ideal start to a day of
touring around.

A lovely and very comfortable bedroom and en-suite with lots of nice touches e.g. Toiletries including bath salts, information file on where to eat/ what to do and a DVD player in the room. The breakfast was delicious and plentyful. There was ample parking and even a guest living room. All of this and only 10 minutes walk from the centre of Inverness.

My husband and i were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived, this continued throughout our week long stay, Avalon is a wonderful place to stay, it is quite central so getting out and about is very easy, and the staff have great knowledge of the area enabling you to make the most out of your holiday. We plan to go back there very soon.

With a side entrance you felt you could come and go without disturbing the owners or other guests ( and no curfew times). The guest house deserves all the plaudids and awards.
