  Staff super friendly- I work in hospitality service (ski resort a la cArte restaurant), so very sensitive to good or bad service , room up to date and clean, ate in the hotel- food was fine, I had the mushroom risotto which was said to have wild/Forrest mushrooms but came with run of the mill button mushrooms. The hotel in general had a nice cosy feel to it. Excellent staff, extremely helpful, cheery friendly and efficient, I travel a fair bit and these were the best I had encountered in quite a while.   Dont judge the hotel from the outside which looks tired and dated once inside you are in for a pleasant suprise. The foyer and reception area are bright and modern and the staff pleasant and helpfull. Our rooms were spotless and well equipped. All in all a great hotel and excellent value for money. Hotel close enough to town centre to walk(it took about 20 mins).Rooms all non smoking.Our first time at Thistle Hotel and will book in on our next visit to Inverness.
