Relaxed atmosphere - Old Black Lion is a wonderful old period building- 13th Century! Friendly attentive staff, smashing manager. We enjoyed great food (had both evening meal and breakfast). Overall excellent value for money. I particularly liked the friendly teddy bears in the bedrooms- nice touch!! We will be back.... : ) -

... hva folk sier » lots of character, great room- clean, cosy and comfortable. Good location, very close to town and within driving distance of the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons. Breakfast was good, all freshly cooked and filling. Staff were lovely, very welcoming and friendly.

Relaxed and friendly staff who went out of their way to help us with our 9 mo daughter. Hearty breakfast included. Freshly cooked, large meal portions from the pub downstairs. Comfortable bed. Lovely view of the garden out the back (room 3). Within an hour of many day trip options. Free parking on site. -
