The staff was incredibly nice. Gave us good advice and was always chipper. We looked forward to walking through the lobby to say hi. Privacy and lack of fuss from staff. Room very good. Would have liked to to have been able to turn down the heating.Centrality, Cleanliness, Simplicity of decor, Space, Amenities in room. Ability to self-cater. This is an extremely well equipped University Accomodation. Very well located for the Fringe. Modern, clean, in the centre of town, compact but with everything you needed. Being able to cook for ourselves and do our washing. Comfortable appartment. Good location + or -. Very clean and reasonably close to city. Location. nice room, good location. Location, furniture. Location was great. No- I'll look for their properties elsewhere. I asked for a room on the quiet side of the building. I was not givensuch a room. Next time please try to accommodate requests such as this.Non 24 hours reception, internet room. As the apartment is actually student flats there was no room service, I had no problem cleaning up after myself etc but wasnt provided with equipment to do so. For a short stay this was fine but i imagine if my stay was longer I'd would've had to buy a broom, mop, sponges and new towels on a holiday. Not being able to leave the balcony window open at night. Very noisy and hot at night - but Edinburgh Fringe was on at the time of our stay. Best to order a back facing room which would have been quieter.the only thing i didnt like is that we arrived around 9 am in the hotel to leave our baggages because we know check in time is 3 am. We just didnt expect it to be closed at that time. We have been trying to contact and press 0 for somebody to open the door for us. Nobody was answering; we looked for a phonebooth to call the number and upon learning that we are there, they opened the door for us. There wasn't hairdryer. The accomdation was chose specifically for its facilites (ie. being able to cook) however, due to the fact that when we arrived in the room it was like to gobi desert (with the staff trying in vain to help us cool the room down to no avail) we ended up spending our time walking the streets and eating out as if we'd have tried to cook anything the room temp would have become even more unbearable. expensive, reception not manned through the day so no opportunity to leave bags before check-in or after check-out v inconvenient esp given price. Room floor wasn't quite clean. Someone had been smoking in the bathroom and it smelt.
