Debbie gave us a really warm welcome, and knowing we were in Carlisle for a funeral, was caring and sympathetic throughout our stay. Our room was immaculate, well presented, warm and comfortable and the breakfast was a good English, delicious and well cooked. Definitely recommended.

The hotel was in a lovely setting in the select village of Wetheral, close to the city of Carlisle. Lovely walks by the river Eden, just minutes away and lots of history in the nearby St. Constantine's cell and the English Heritage abbey gatehouse. Good stop-over hotel not far from the motorway. Large comfortable bedroom with meals taken at adjoining restaurant. Meal deals on offer in the evening and excellent breakfast with good choice. Very friendly staff at reception and in the restaurant. Overall excellent value for money.

I thought everything about the hotel was good. It was quiet and the room was spacious clean and had all the facilities required for a pleasant stay. Really enjoyed stay as base for visiting family in Cumbria. We were able to bring our two dogs rather than leave at home for small price per night. This was fabulous for us and a surprise as not realised when booked. Also free car park a real bonus for location and so convienient. Great shower in bathroom and as good as you get anywhere. All in all enjoyed 3 night stay with location short distance to walk to castle and park for dogs.Would recommend for budget conscious comfortable accommodation

As always a really good night's stay at a Premier Inn. You can always be assured what you get will be clean, reliable, and friendly for a great price. In this case, the front desk staff member went above and beyond in helping us get our laundry washed and dried, which was a real help a week into our vacation. -

The food was good and I particularly appreciated the option for porridge that was prepared hot and fresh for morning breakfast.

I was a little worried after reading the reviews, but we had no problems at all. Before going i requested a newly refurbished room and it turned out to be a spacious twin, that was clean, comfortable and quiet. I do agree that the rooms are a little warm and the windows don't really open, but other than that we had a comfortable stay.
