  The Effingham was beautiful and spacious -- large room overlooking beautiful grounds, like a country estate. The regular-size bus with luggage racks was excellent to transport us from the Gatwick Train Station and back to the Gatwick Airport next morning for only 2.50 pounds per person per trip.   the swans and geese outside in the little lake. the beautiful decor and warm friendly, cozy and luxurious feel to the place. also it has a regular bus service right at the entrance that takes you to the airport. great place!! if you're looking for somewhere near gatwick.. you wont get any better than the copthorne.. serriously :) - I stay regularly... hva folk sier » at this hotel, if arriving late in the UK and leaving early from Gatwick airport, instead of going to my London flat - the hotel is probably one of the nicest hotels in the area around Gatwick, although big it preserves the character of an English countryside hotel

  This was a really lovely place to stay tucked into the trees off a quiet road, but very near Crawley and East Grinstead, and most important for us, Gatwick Airport. We were able to access places very easily, but felt more relaxed out of the way. The main receptionist whose name I unfortunately forgot was wonderful! Even arranging cereals and milk on a tray because we were checking out very early morning before breakfast was av - The space in the room. Being in a single room they are usually minute. The last one I staying in, I couldn't even get the door fully open before it hit the bed and I had to sidle through the door. This room had soooooo much space and the shower room was nearly as big as a normal double room. Very clean and very comfy. - Friendly and helpful staff with a professional attitude. Accommodation was fine. The location is excellent for quiet and greenery. Dinner was fine with a good wine. Bed was comfortable. Full English breakfast enables a full day's activity without lunch. We appreciated the kettle, tea, coffee and biscuits in the room.
