We stayed at the Bay House some 12 months ago and enjoyed the location and we they decided to back this week. The place is now under new management who have only been in for 2 months or so, but are making a very good go of the place. We enjoyed our weekend as the Bay House Lake View Guest House is central to everything, pubs, shops, lake and roads

Maxine & Graham the new owners are very welcoming and eager to please, nothing is too much trouble. Comfortable room, very good choice of breakfast and homemade cake in the room every day which was wonderful bonus! Issued with a car park pass so no worries about parking. Easy walking distance to the amenities of Bowness but quiet at night, the location is excellent.

Everything, obviously the hotels in this area are pretty old but this one was very clean and comfortable was very picturesque. The surrounding area was beautiful. The hotel was on Browness and a perfect position.

The Royal Oak is a great English Inn, the food was excellent, accommodation comfortable and the staff were superb. I felt really at home. started great with a parking space in their garage. Nice friendly meet and greet. we had our bags carried to our room which was nice. The owner made us some tea and brought it to our room also. The house has been lovingly restored keeping the original features,even the sash windows and shutters are still wooden. Breakfast was freshly cooked and hot. We would definitely recommend staying here to anybody.
