From the moment I was greeted by the lady of the Hotel, I felt welcome.
I was given a very comfortable - if modest double room for a single
stay. I wish I could have packed the mattress and pillows into my
luggage and taken them home with me. The Bathroom was sufficient, the

We really enjoyed our stay at The Elizabeth House Hotel. Our double room was lovely, very clean and tidy and very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough for you, in particular the young lady who checked us in at the front reception desk. As we had never visited Southampton before, we had a few tourist type questions and the young lady was happy to help us and answered all of our questions. Good value for money, can't complain about price.
However it would have been good to know that there is no bathroom, but only a toilet, and that the shower is a cabin within the room. As we shared our room with my mother-in-law, it required a bit of turning the eye and covering up while getting ready to shower and after the shower.

receptionist (Vicki) was very friendly upon check-in. I was afraid it would be noisy as it fronted onto a busy road but didn't hear a thing all night. bed was comfortable. single room was smallish but adequate for my one night stay. next door to mcdonalds if don't want to pay for hotel breakfast and close to ikea, supermarkets and entertainment venues. close to train station and coach station (can walk it) and about a 6 pound taxi fare to the cruise terminals.

The staff where very helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Parking was available and the Buffet style "eat all you can" breakfast was a welcomed treat. - was on business, had a good sleep, the bed was comfortable and clean free internet access that was a bonus.

As a disabled, profoundly deaf visitor, I was greeted by Wendy the manager, who upon learning some of my difficulties attended my every needs, excellent service. The full English breakfast comes with cereals, toast and yogurt or fruit was available to help yourself should you want it. A kitchen available should you wish use do some self catering.

It is a nice place to stay for short term, as we spent only one night it is hard to rate, we only stayed long enough to use the bed and breakfast, the hotel is close (walking distance) to the town centre, and is located in a quiet part of the town.
