The complimentary wifi and mini bar, which was replenished daily, are a very nice touch and something that hardly any boutique hotel of this size offers.
Our room was lovely, spacious, clean and luxurious and with a great view of the ocean.
Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful and that just made it an even nicer place to stay.
Will definitely be returning.

The rooms are stunning and really tastefully decked out and it's well situated for central Cape Town and the VandA shopping centre. It's the nicest place we've ever stayed and we will definitely go back if we can!

The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful, always smiling, and solicitous without being in your face. Breakfast was plentiful, lots of choices and value for money; use of the business centre at no extra cost was a godsend - see wi-fi
The entrance/lobby very spacious and felt homely. I would definitely stay at the Portswood again

This was an excellent hotel. It was situated just outside the Waterfront and although you could walk there, they had a courtesy bus that ran every half hour. It was my husband's 30th birthday and the hotel went out of their way to make it extra special for him. Special mention to Daphne and Mandla whom really went out of their way to make our stay extra special. I loved the room beyond everything and felt really cosy. I will definitely be back to stay at the hotel:). Thank you to your hotel and amazing staff.

First class luxury at a reasonable price. All four of us agreed this was the best hotel we ever stayed at. Our two-bedroom suite with living area was more spacious than we needed but we loved the separate bedrooms and large kitchen. The staff is extremely knowledgable and friendly, the hotel is almost a B&B but with private facilities, easy to walk to most in town attractions, excellent breakfast very good and convenient before the start to the day, good connection to WIFI. They also have a good network of local experts if you are looking for a guide (ask for Domingo)
