  Me, my hubby and 2 year old son had a fantastic stay @ the Coastlands on the ridge hotel. The hotel and rooms (big wow) are elegant and beautifully decorated (we had deluxe room) plus the view from the balcony looking out over durban is stunning. The staff were absolutely wonderful with my son, friendly and always helpfull especially @ reception (... hva folk sier » tony cele god bless you) and the dining area (the lady @ the entrance to the hotels dining area always warm, friendly and welcoming). We were treated - Excellent young staff at all points.They seem to want to help rather than just provide service. The arrival & departure was warm.   I stayed at the Tropicana in December 2010 and was not impressed at all. During my last stay I notced a remarkable improvement, i.e refurbishment, staff, etc. Well done! - The fact that it is on the beach front and our bus just dropped us at the door, that was awesome. Value for money as well.
