Beautifully furnushed upstairs room with views over the town and mountains. A supremely comfortable bed. A pleasant, if hilly, walk down through fields to the beach and two restaurants. It was a little way out of town so a car would be required for further restaurants and shops.

The office stayed open just to check us in - we were arriving quite late. The young lady on duty tried to ring us a couple of times to check how we were going on what was a pretty terrible night weather-wise.
The room easily catered for six of us - with the kids each getting a separate bed. -

We loved the location of this motel and it is one of the cleanest we have stayed in. Excellent standard and the host couldn't do enough for us. We would definitely stay in a Bella Vista again if this is the normal standard. -
The owners were awesome , super friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, comfortable and situated in a convenient place with a short walk into the township. Nest time I go to Kaikoura I will definitely be staying there. -
The manageress was extremely helpful when we decided to move on earlier than expected after the cancellation of our planned whale-watching trip and went out of her way to help us find accommodation at our next port-of-call.

Excellent staff... The owners were helpful and informative, and the accommodation was spacious and comfortable. It far exceeded the usual tourist motel accommodation in NZ. There was also a playground opposite in alarge park for the kids to expend energy.

The motel was very conveneient for us as an overnight stay on our way to
Dunedin. We appreciated their appeciation when we realised we hadn't
been charged for breakfast and we then arranged for payment to be made.
All too often there is no thanks when someone goes out of their way to
correct an incomplete payment ( in our case) or something else.

The Motel is located next to the most stunning views and walks in New
Zealand. The owners are absolutely friendly and eager to help. The
rooms, floors, bathroons are squirky clean. The kitchenette is well
equipped. Two restaurants are just a few steps away.

We stayed in the King suite, as it was only $7 extra. The bed was a good size and comfortable, you could see the mountains from the car park and the suite was tastefully decorated, very clean and well-equipped. -

Great location, perfect views from the lounge to the sea, clean and comfortable rooms.Fantastic friendly and helpful man who ran the motel, he allowed us to stay a bit longer in the day so we could shower after our swim with the dolphins. This was the only B&B we stayed at during our 3 week tour of the
South Island. We were in Queen Room#3 which was very comfy, with a
private bathroom off the hallway outside our room(as advertised). There
is a guest kitchen/dining and lounge area leading to a wrapround
balcony overlooking the garden. As the house was set down an easement
off the main highway, it was nice and quite. Breakfast was really lovely
