There was one hotel staff in this Hotel who went extra miles to help us. The evening before, my husband and I asked about the places of interest in Nagoya, he helped us then. And in the night (he was in the night shift) he printed a few maps and trains schedules to direct us and even drew some maps and routes to detail his exaplanation. All these were passed to us the next morning before we start our tour in Nagoya. A very helpful hotel staff, I would say....going many extra miles to try to hel.
alle vurderinger » Wonderful location, just across the road from the station. Big room, big tv. We had a deluxe twin, two big single beds pushed together. Clean, modern and spacious.Our original booking was for a western style room, which was great, but noisy because it fronted onto the street. The beeping noise from the crossing was very loud and we asked to move to a quieter room, which the staff organised very efficiently, despite limited english. The hotel located right in front of train station (from exit gate near McDonald) so it's super convenient. When I stayed there, there was a special gift for women and they gave me free Shiseido amenities (milky lotion, face wash etc) which I am very happy about. This hotel is spotlessly clean. The bed is very comfortable and although the room is small, it didn't feel cramped.The staff could speak English and were very helpful and polite. A good choice for a night or two. The location is very excellent. This hotel is located just opposite to JR station, very convenient. Room size based on Japanese standard is OK, but I can't imagine a Westerner can fit into this size of room. Based on the room rate that I had paid, no complaint at all. Value for money, right across the Nagoya train station where many restaurants and shopping mall Takashimaya locate. I booked a single room and it is of a reasonable size - not too small in terms of Japanese hotel standard. The location of the hotel is good as it is located just opposite the station.It is a prettty new hotel and the room size is comfotable. The price for one night at 10,000 yen is reasonable . Cozy, comfortable bed, shower/bath. After a long overseas flight, it was so handy to the train station, simple to figure out, very clean and welcoming and comfortable...and inexpensive!. Spacious room. location. from exterior is look quite old and a bit worn out but inside is not that bad just like any business hotel in japan got everything you need (bed, bathroom ensuit, tv..) even a hairdryer plus here they have wifi in your room (usually business hotel like this have only LAN, Wifi will be lobby area) and best part is location is just across the street from train station (if you arrive from JR train from the main exit of the train station you can see the Yoshinoya sign - that the hotel building b. Basic hotel, good location, next to Nagoya train and bus stations. Good option if you arrive late. Very close to Nagoya Train Station, inexpensive. The substitute room was large and very quiet. The only problem was that it was Japanese-style, so everything was low. Lovely and modern, with western style mattress,but on the floor.Our knees are not what they used to be !. Actually the price is a little bit high for a student like me, but the convenient and all the facilities is actually made up the price so it's okay. Certain rooms are extremely close to the adjacent building and has absolutely no view but a brick wall a few centimeters away. This would only be a concern if you would like to open your window. The toilet I believed is a prefabricated one is too small and cramp. Nothing really . Free Wifi only in the lobby. It would have been nice to have it in the room, too. Small room but it's ok for a brief stay. Leaving your room key at the front desk every time you leave the hotel, although this is quite a common practice with business hotels in Japan. A close-up map showing how to access Business Hotel Shinmei on the website would have been useful. The noisy from traffic light. None. No breakfast provided or no facilities for Bkft. no free water in the room. yoshinoya is right in front of the hotel so it get smelly everytime you walk in and out of the hotel. Not easy to find, signposting is not very visible. Look for the Yoshinoya restaurant one. Cheap room is really small, but ok for short stay. They do not provide any map/ information in English, but staff speak a little. Requested a non-smoking room, received a smoking room. When we queried the staff we were advised this was a "non-smoking room for the day", Room absolutely stunk of smoke and there was an empty condom wrapper left under the bed. Thankfully only spent one night.
