Located in the Hiraizumi World Heritage, Shizukatei offers Japanese-style accommodations and indoor/outdoor public hot spring baths. A free shuttle is available from JR Hiraizumi Train Station, which is a 25-minute drive away and must be reserved at time of booking. The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. A TV and fridge are included in each and Japanese Yukata robes are provided for all guests. Each room comes with a private toilet, while bathrooms are shared with other guests. Shizukatei Ryokan is a 25-minute drive from Chuson-ji Temple and Motsu-ji Temple. JR Ichinoseki Train Station is a 40-minute drive away. Traditional multi-course dinners feature sushi, soba noodles and Maezawa beef dishes. A Japanese set-menu is offered for breakfast and all meals are served at the dining room. Local products are sold at the souvenir shop and drink vending machines are on site. Free parking is available on site.

Guests with a tattoo may not be permitted to enter public bathing areas and other public facilities Credit card will be used for guarantee purposes only. When settling the bill, the hotel will accept cash only (in Japanese Yen). The free shuttle from JR Hiraizumi Train Station is available at 14:30 and at 16:40. The shuttle back to the station is available at 9:00 and at 10:00. Guests can use the luggage storage facility in front of the train station.
