Located in the Hiraizumi World Heritage, Shizukatei offers Japanese-style accommodations and indoor/outdoor public hot spring baths. A free shuttle is available from JR Hiraizumi Train Station, which is a 25-minute drive away and must be reserved at time of booking.
The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. A TV and fridge are included in each and Japanese Yukata robes are provided for all guests. Each room comes with a private toilet, while bathrooms are shared with other guests.
Shizukatei Ryokan is a 25-minute drive from Chuson-ji Temple and Motsu-ji Temple. JR Ichinoseki Train Station is a 40-minute drive away.
Traditional multi-course dinners feature sushi, soba noodles and Maezawa beef dishes. A Japanese set-menu is offered for breakfast and all meals are served at the dining room.
Local products are sold at the souvenir shop and drink vending machines are on site. Free parking is available on site.
