Good security staff while only on site for breakfast went out of their way to help us including picking us up from ports nova bus depot and taking us up the hill in their car which was appreciated by New Zealand travellers who had been travelling over 25 hours to get to this first port of stay. The bed was very comfortable so comfortable we were able to come back to property for a nap before dinner and that was only a few steps very reasonable pizza and restaurant. Cannot say enou

On walking out of our front door each day we were treated to a fantastic view of Assisi on the hill above us, ten minutes uphill walk or a short bus ride away. Easy to follow, beautiful surrounding path to town (be aware it’s
uphill). We were greeted with chocolate and cake. We were offered fresh
vegetables from their garden, delicious fresh eggs. We missed the bus
stop, we were picked up in town. We were brought to train station. Dear
Family, my friend and I are grateful for all your help. We had a very
nice stay in your place. Could have been longer.

Hotel Umbra is in the middle of everything; excellently placed. It is beautiful and restful with a gracious and welcoming staff always eager to help and accommodate. It is quiet and grace filled. Meals are excellent. Linen bedsheets were a sumptuous surprise. Artisans and their charming shops were appreciated and fun to visit. Warmth and charm abounds. We went around the world and this spot topped our list of "bests".
