  When we arrived Gianni greeted us with a warm and friendly smile :) He went out of his way to make us feel right at home and then took us down to the local supermarket where he introduced us to the local produce. You - The apartment we occupied was clean, spacious and near-new. The kitchen facilities allowed us to prepare our own meals and eat in comfortable, relaxed surroundings. The nearby town had a good supermarket from which we could purchase items and a restaurant, if we so wished. Giovanni and his family were welcoming and very happy to assist us plan our days in their region on Umbria. This country house is my favorite place that I've stayed at during 26day-winter trip. I'd definate - Second stay @ Il Roseto. Came back because it was so good the first time. Massimo and family again great hosts. Il Roseto has great charm and character, with a view of Assisi from the dining room that cannot be matched. La Signora is sensational (93 yrs of age) and still in everthing. Thoroughly recommend this Hotel to anyone going to Assisi and is just 12 minutes walking distance away.
