  We were treated like royalty... the owners of the hotel, a family, helped us with all our tourism questions, they accomodated all our needs, and then offered even more! Our stay could not have been any better. They made us feel like part of their family! It was just wonderful! The room was lovely and the view breathtaking! The rooftop pool was truly an oasis! The parking was an unexpected blessing after driving the Amalfi and seeing how scarce it is. The matriarch warmly shook hands with us as we departed. I hope to return some day. lovely breakfast, too!!

  It is an extraordinary property. Much of the original architecture still exists which makes it a very unique place. The location and view are unbelievable, the rooftop pool and garden are gorgeous, and the food is excellent.   Everything! Once we arrived to the resort we all agreed that we had arrived to a paradise.   Antonietta and Giovanna were the perfect hosts from start to finish. Their staff including Nico, Diego and Paulo were always very polite, pleasant and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for Antonietta, Giovanna and their staff!! The hotel looks great and our room was clean and a good size with a patio area leading to the garden. All in all, Orsa Maggiore is a beautiful hotel with excellent owners and - Orsa Maggiore was a beautiful stop for us on our honeymoon. I would request a room Oceanside (beautiful sunsets). The rooms are clean and pretty, but here, you are paying for the views and a great design of a pool area! The staff are also all very nice and helpful! They made good dinner recommendations and always offered to shuttle you around the island (this is quite helpful if you know Capri) and the wifi connection is good. Also-the free breakfast is plentiful!

The reason we chose this hotel was because of the brilliant reviews of the restaurant Taverna Del Capitano ( a michelin star restaurant) that is below the hotel.
