The staff were more than friendly. It is truely a hidden little gem.

  My husband and I and his elderly parents stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Paolo and the rest of the staff were wonderful and very helpful throughout our stay. I would go back again and highly recommend the hotel. Information about the local historical sites to visit was very useful. There is a bus stop and train station both 5 minutes away which will take you to all the historical sites.   I'he met the manager he was very friendly and a very nice person. The staff are excellent. They gave me the feeling as in home. The history of the villa is very interesting. There is a piano in the lobby which belongs to the original owner - a known musician who used to host his artistic friends.   Valne for money is very very good. - Clean, tidy rooms, bigger than I expected. Ideal if you want no frills or fuss accomodation. Staff were approachable, good humoured and pleasant. Handy location for the trains/metro.

  Wonderful landscape, friendly staff, good food. the best we expected. Open Gate is the place we will choose again for the next visit on Amalfi Coast. - We had a great stay. The family was wonderful. The view from the rooms was excellent. We will come back next year for 2 weeks.

The owner is a spectacular lady - she loaned us a map of the Path of the Gods and recommended plenty of hikes which proved to be no less spectacular than the Path of the Gods. The main area is very relaxing and creatively decorated for a great place to hang out. Very friendly and constantly at your service. Excellent food, we wouldn't bother to go elsewhere for food if we returned, best in area for sure. If you come here you must visit Paestum, ancient temples, Greek origin Lorenzo and Ophelia who are there most of the time are great hosts.
