L'Uliveto is the best and most wonderful place I could choose for our 5-day trip along Amalfi coast: very kind hosts who are always willing to help you (a really wonderful family!), very well-furnished and incredibly clean rooms, balcony with a marvellous view, tranquillity,homemade breakfast served in a very pleasant atmosphere ... and all that at a very decent price!.
The owners of the hotel are very friendly and don't spare their efforts to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The location is good, in a small village above positano, there is a bus service to take you down. The hotel is a good walk away from the main road via steps so pack light. The view of Positano and the sea from the terrace is magical. We spent
our first day just enjoying the view and relaxing. The owner is very
helpful and generous (nice departure gift of homemade jam). Excellent
restaurant nearby. A high point of our three weeks in Italy and the most
memorable place.
L'uliveto is owned by a beautiful Italian family so your experience
doesn't get any more authentic than this!! They are very welcoming
& we got to sample homemade cake & jams, as well as fresh
blackberries, tomatoes & basil from the garden. Buonissimo!!.
Lovely people running a quiet house with beautiful views of Positano. I hope to go back someday and recommend it heartily. It is a bit out of the way but that is part of its charm.

The owner was very kind and the view was amazing. Great place for relax.
Although we loved being above Positano in Montpertuso, there were trade
offs such as an additional bus ride and a further 250 step hike with
luggage. We had to sacrifice the additional hour plus to travel beyond
Positano but it was worth it.
