  We travelled around Emilia-Romagna during our Easter holidays and the first stop was in Modena. We had a family room at the hotel and it includes 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The unusual thing is that the bedrooms have sinks but it was convenient. It was one of the biggest rooms in the hotel and is perfectly fine for 5+ people to sleep. It was possi... hva folk sier » ble to pay with a credit card. The place is simple but everything was clean and the receptionist was very helpful and kind. He recommended us a nice p - Always a bonus for a solo, oldie, traveller to get a full size double room rather than a pokey broom-cupboard. This family run hotel is a joy to stay in with the Old Town just a five minute walk away. I keep seeing other reviewers moaning about lack of variety for breakfast in these budget priced hotels but, for goodness sake, a good supply of coffee, toast, spreads, juices and yoghurt is quite enough and that's what you get here plus the pleasant conversation with the hard-working proprietor.

  While affordable, car parking was available at no extra cost, and by car, the hotel was not that far from the city centre. A bus stop is located right next to the hotel (although we didn't use it).
