The location of La Calcina is fantastic - Overlooking the Giudecca canal, in a quiet neighbourhood, watertaxi stop on your doorstep and within an easy walking distance of St Marks Square. The staff could not do enough for us and treated us like silk worms. Nothing was a problem. Directions, hints, tips and must see all explained thoroughly. I was nervous about getting from the airport on our own, but the directions were very clear and the hotel easy to find. The location was perfect between the Rialto and St Marco square-we couldn't have picked better! Very impressed with how friendly the staff are and how welcomed we felt. Rommene og frokostrestauranten - Easy to find, Staff was very helpful and aided us getting to the room, which was located in a separate building. Very helpful getting our bags to the room, which was no easy task as I was travelling for three weeks and required vacation and work clothes!

Staff was very helpful in our checkout process offering to sotre our bags if we needed for a few hours and things like that. - The hotel was in a very good position and was easy to find, our standard double room was a good size and very quiet at night and the the en suite bathroom was stylish and immaculate. All the staff were suberb; they spoke good english, they smiled and they could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was excellent and exactly what we wanted - lots of choice and hot and cold options.

location was great very close to San Marco Square and just beside vaparetto stop so very easy to find and for lugging bags. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Kept our luggage stored on our last day as our flight was not until that night. Great choice of breakfast to set us up for the day. Room was lovely and overall would highly recommend.
