Have had an eventful few days! Stayed with the lovely Rebecca Crosby and Gary Crosby at "Hotel bei der Post" in Bacharach, saw some beautiful castles (even one in the middle of the Rhine)! Had a great time drinking local beer and watching the soccer. Caught a ferry across to Rüdesheim and have fallen in love! The room was spacious and well appointed. The staff was fantastic and the breakfast was amazing. The location was very convenient to the train station and was situated in a convenient location for shopping and sightseeing in the charming Rhine town. There are many wonderful sights in easy walking distance and it was also very close to the K-D ferry terminal where we embarked on a Rhine cruise. An amazing historic location all in all.
