Free shuttle service to Canton Fair and back, very good breakfast
(although I'm vegan, I surprisingly had plenty of options, different

The location is central to shopping and digital plaza. Ideal for the dotcoms.
Rooms well equipped and really it felt like home away from home.
Breakfast was well presented,but little choice for the vegetarian .
The sauna/jacuzzi and steam room a little disappointing as no towels are provided and no attendants in the spa centre.

The staff is exceptional -- all spoke English, even the maid. All wentout of their way to be friendly and helpful and gracious. We added on ahalf day, since our flight didn't leave til evening, and the maid camein and made up the room with fresh towels and everything while we wereat lunch. Hotel staff were attentive. Rooms were clean. I can say its the best and most respectable hotel in Guangzhou. Shopping malls nearby, good Italian and Turkish restaurants 10 mins away. The staff were attentive and the room service was prompt and the food good. The location is very central and there are lots of western shops and places to eat including the inevitable Starbucks and McDonalds. Excellent welcome, the moment I stepped into the lobby I was greeted warmly and the check-in went very smoothly. I made a reservation for an Executive Room and when checking in I was offered a cheap upgrade to the Executive Club Floor. Excellent value for money, fantastic breakfast... Also really enjoyed the Club experience! Complimentary drinks and snacks in the late afternoon was a real treat! Been in GZ many times and this was the best hotel I stayed in so far.

I loved everything about Shangri-La; although abit on the expensive side but worth it. The hotel is the grandest I have ever visited, the service is excellent and has lived up to its 5-star status. Loved every minute of it and cant wait to re-visit. -

Great if you are attending the Canton Fair. They have clean, very spacious rooms. There's a kitchen and Landry within the rooms. My room invluded breakfast. It's good but not great. At free I'm not complaining.
I've stayed at the Hyatt and its same class but at 4 times the price.
Ascott is a great place for business and families. -
