Marc and Sonja are a very friendly couple and nothing is too much trouble to make your stay enjoyable. We had a problem with our car during our stay and they helped us tremendously - making phone calls to garages, driving us to collect the car and lending us bikes to use. Given that it was also the begining of a two week holiday in Belgium and many places were closed we cannot thank them enough for their help and concern. The B&B is bright, clean and airy and you have the use of a fridge an.

I had informed of a very early arrival to Sonia, owner and if we could leave our bags and use a loo etc. She was brilliant and as the room was available she had got it ready as we arrived at 09 30 hrs. Mark* her husband spent quite some time with us to outline numerous places of interest concerned with WW1 fields and wrote down a detailed list of proposed sights to view. they were both very welcoming and made us feel easy to move around. D. I only spent one night here, but Marc and Sonja were wonderful hosts, and couldn't do enough for me. They drove me to the station in Iper, and to the Menin Gate (for the Last Post), and picked me up, without care for the petrol and their time. There's a lovely garden, which is great in the summer. The breakfast is very good, and the B&B is very close to the Hooge Crater museum. You can use one of their push bikes (for free) to see Tyne Cot, and all the other WW1 sites. Very highly recomende. The welcome is fantastic, extremely friendly and very happy to help with questions regarding Ypres and finding locations. Breakfast very copious, varied and delicious. Well situated for visiting Ypres with a nice view on battle field.We were just a couple in a family room with bathroom and toilet. Clean towels. Its not a Hotel, Its more then that, In my long travelling, I felt like I'm at Home., The Owner of Hotel, is a very kind lady. She speak very friendly & informative for the touriest., Howevery I did not plan anything before visiting Yprus, But due help of that lady Yprus is one of my memorable trip., I wish I could go again just to meet her & with my friends to travel Yprus again n again. Five minutes from Iper (last post at 8pm every night at Menin Gate) this B&B is the ideal place to begin exploration of places associated with the Yupre salient in WW1. Polygon Wood & Tyne Cot just down the road. Sonia and her husband (very knowlegible on the war history of the area) are very welcoming and run an excellent establishment. Highly recomended, would stay again. My daughter and I stayed here at the start of our motorcycle Europe trip. Mark and Sonia could not be more helpful keen to pass on their knowledge of the local area. Kindly loaning us their cycles we had a lovely day exploring the area and museums. Peaceful nights sleep and great breakfast Waving us off that morning as if part of the family will definitely be staying there again. We received a very warm welcome from Sonja and Marc, and were treated to a delicious beer on arrival. We chatted for a long time about our impending cycling trip around Flanders, and they provided some very helpful suggestions. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. Our hosts stored our tandem in their garage overnight! Highly recommended. We received a lovely warm welcome and a cup of tea on arrival at this homely B&B. Our slightly tired bedroom was spacious and comfortable with a large ensuite. There is easy parking, the room was quiet and the B&B is in a good location to see the sights. This is a good B&B but with a little modernisation it could be a great B&B. Super-friendly owners who really made us feel at home, and wanted us to get the most out of our 2 days their. Offered great advice for local walks / places to visit, and insisted on us using their glasses for proper enjoyment of the Belgian beers we'd bought in the supermarket. It was also a perfect location for viewing the WW1 battlefields. From the moment of arrival we knew we had chosen the right place to stay. The owners were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the WW1 and the local sights we wanted to visit. The location was perfect and B and B rates good. We really appreciated Sonya's breakfasts and especially the boiled egg each morning. We picked this B&B due to its location and previous reviews. We were not disappointed at all. The hosts were ever so friendly and informative, the room spacious and spotless and last but not least, breakfast was excellent. We will not hesitate to book again when visiting Ypres. We stayed for a visit to the monuments and ww1 cemeteries Sonia and Mark couldn't have done more for us on our stay - lifts into Ypres when raining - the breakfast spread was excellent and as this was our first trip to Belgium their knowledge was greatly appreciated. A nice large bedroom and bathroom and also a bath to relax in after a day exploring. The breakfast more than just bread - eggs, fruit and yoghurt. Host very friendly and helpful. My husband is wheat intolerant and went out of her way to get gluten free bread. the room and bath and shower was super, friendly helpful people spoke English and German very well. the garden was lovely the price for what we had was outstanding. a good breakfast. it was as I would love to give my best friends for the night. An excellent breakfast is served which really prepares you for a full day's activity. everything was excellent .from the greeting and welcome to the departure. Breakfast (apart from the hot chocolate) was nothing to write home about and the bath towels were the most rubbery and non absorbent that I have ever used. Slightly difficult to find on our first night, but that ultimately worked out as a plus (enjoyed being in the countryside part of Ypres). Nothing to fault will definately visit again. Nothing. No Negatives. When you have such nice people receiving you, what can you not like??. We liked it all. no faults found eVERYTHOI. Beds were too firm for us but would suit others. No Negative Points at all!. Nothing!. Small room. My host was one step ahead of me, mentioning it herself, But the place was full. All fantastic. Nothing. The facilities in my father's room - shower, etc, weren't amazing but everything was spotlessly clean. The Wi-Fi - for a tablet - was intermittent and very weak (poor) in strength rating. Lack of choice for local facilities unless driving into Ypres nightly. No air conditioning. only negative was the towels were a little thin. Nothing. Nothing.
