Sandra, the owner, was wonderfully helpful. She speaks German, Italian, English, and some French. We were driving, and so the free parking was a bonus (Salzburg has very expensive parking.) Breakfast was great. The B&B is a little over a half mile from the Eastern end of the historic old town area. -

It's a pretty easy walk to the hotelfrom the main train station, although I get lost usually my first timein every new city. Herbert, Ricki and Alexander made our time in Salzburg so much more memorable. Herbert pension is a lovely accommodation with everything we could ask for and GREAT value for money.
The property is only a leisurely walk to the main tourist attractions which is nice as you are away from the hustle and bustle.

Staying with Herbert and his family at their pension was one of the highlights of our 3 week trip. It was great to talk to Herbert during breakfast (and for an hour or two after...) and hear his perspective on some many things.
