  Close to Qpac and Southbank -walking distance within 10 minutes...stayed with a group of girlfriends in a 2 bedroom dual key room...loved the decor, lounge area and kitchen..we could catch up in one apartment and have food and drink..staff very friendly and accommodating when requiring early check in because we were seeing a show at Qpac...request... hva folk sier » ed a high room because reading reviews said the trains were loud, but being on level 9 with balcony door shut, I could sleep in on Sunday because I ca - New, fully featured apt with washing machine and dryer. Great location close to South Brisbane rail station with direct line to airport. 10 minute walk to centre of Brisbane and 5 min walk from southbank and cultural centre where there are numerous great restaurants. 15 minute easy walk to Suncorp stadium. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast at the recommended street cafe was vast and best value I had in whole 3 week trip. Although this isn't in centre of Brisbane it is ideally located.

  I have stayed in 4and 5 star hotels which would not rate as well as South Central. Design, decor and layout were excellent. A bonus also is the rooftop pool. I was fortunate to be upgraded to a larger apartment which would have been wonderful had I been travelling with company.   Room looked basic from decor perspective but had facilities over & above what I expected (tea & coffee, mini fridge, iron & board). Everything worked & room v v clean. Asked for "high & quiet" room which I got. All in all v pleasant stay, have recommended to others already! - Amazing for the price. I was a bit nervous after reading some of the negative reviews but this place is a gem. Cheap and right in the heart of the city. The room was small but perfect for a single. Air conditioning, TV, kettle, fridge, wardrobe, iron, ensuite and quiet. I've paid twice this for a comparable room in a comparable location. No hesitation in recommending and will definitely stay here again. - I read lots of very negative on-line reviews about this hotel; so upon arrival, I was apprehensive. But I was surprised - location was perfect for the price I pay. Service was good and my room, towel and linen were clean. I would recommend this hotel again to any solo traveller especially ones on business trips. I wouldn't recommend it to a family on long holiday trips as size of standard room is small.

  Cleanest and most modern hostel I've ever stayed in. The place has clearly been renovated/upgraded recently and it's lovely. I was really impressed. The room ac had heat and cool, which is apparently rare in Australia where most ac usually only cools a room. The restaurant was very well priced (eating out is always expensive in Oz) and the food was very good. - The service from Peter the manager was excellent. When we arrived there, my girlfriend was ill, he made a couple of phonecalls to doctors free of charge. When we got back at the hostel, he saw that my girlfriend was still not feeling better, so he upgraded our double room to a better room away from all the noise from the reception. Thanks a lot for this excellent service Peter and the rest of the staff!
