  I liked the idea that the hotel was a fair bit out of the city and therefore in a peaceful environment, but at the same time there are a lot of lovely restaurants walking distance from the hotel area. - I liked the cleanliness Staff were friendly and helpful Secure parking Balcony looking at the mountains Quite Homely Gym was terrific

  The Park Hyatt is the best hotel in Canberra -but is probably the most expensive! It is ideal for conservative people who appreciate the Art Deco design the history - and easy proximity to key attractions (old Parliament House, national gallery, portrait gallery). - We loved the building and the ambience of the hotel, especially the art deco feat... hva folk sier » ures. We particularly enjoyed the afternoon tea and its setting. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms spacious and luxurious. Staying at the Park Hyatt was a real treat.

  Reception staff - very friendly at each encounter. I was welcomed with unsolicited suggestions and free maps - very nice touch you would normally only see in a small country town. I am not that fussy but . . . I find dry irons in hotel rooms very frustratingly ineffective and a statement of mistrust. Cap Exec provided a steam iron and it was a v... hva folk sier » ery effective one (took a pic; will buy one). Breakfast buffet was very, very reasonably priced - didn't feel any urge to over-eat just to get my mone - My wife fell and broke her arm 3 hours after we arrived; I was diagnosed with DVT 3 days later. We had to extend our stay by 3 days as doctopr would not allow me to drive home. Staff was very helpful indeed in finding another room for us for 3 days even though the hotel was heavily booked. Could not speak more highly of the staff. Also good to be able to have dinner brought to our room.

  This property is well priced, and quiet, and only about 10 minutes from the northern end of Canberra. The rooms are comfortable and relatively clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. We were there when a school group was also staying there, but because of the size of the resort, we didn't hear a peep out of them all night long. Waking up to... hva folk sier » kind kangaroos around the place was a nice touch! - Second time at this hotel in as many weeks and booked through letsbookhotel.com and: 1) Over charged again - refund obtained. 2) Was not offered the room I booked but their most basic one - until I questioned this and they gave me the room booked. Kinda frustrating really - and I am not blaming the staff but the Rydges booking system.

  Very good value for money, the unit was clean with good heating. Car parking was good. The facilities and Restaurant were good clan and good food. The swimming pool area looks nice, but not the weather to try it out. The location to all the things you want to do and the CBD was excellant. - All the dishes and utensils were supplied. Gas hot water... hva folk sier » , so didn't have to worry about running out. Nice park amenities, everything thing was clean and well maintained. Well laid out. We didn't feel squeezed in. Friendly staff.
