  We are a couple from Mexico in our fisrt trip to Calafate. We found Hosteria Meulen wonderful and clean. Hostesses were very nice and always worried about our satisfaction. They helped with bus arrangements.They were informative about the trekking options in the area.. which brings us to its perfect location near the beginning of the trekking path to mount fitz roy.. also close to many restaurants, local pyb and trekking tools hiring shops.   Friendly, helpful staff ( especially Adolfo ) who made sure we had everything we wanted. He even called the tour operators and helped book our day trips. Rooms are spacious and clean . View from the room offers a magnificent landscape of Andes, snow covered peaks and a turquoise lake which is huge!

  We LOVED this hotel. Its like an oasis of luxury at a good price. Room is spacious and comfortable, with heat in both the room and bathroom. Bathroom is large and spotless. Service is also great.
