Worth the extra $20 a night for room with a view. More privacy and the scenic view was beautiful. It was a quick 30 minute car ride to downtown Phoenix. The shuttle service around the resort was very useful and made traveling to the pool and workout centers much easier considering our room was on the edge of the resort and on the hill.

This is a very well equiped hotel for a relaxing holiday but well located to do day triips both short and long. Food is great and staff go the extra mile. Great location a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of Phoenix; excellent family friendly pools, food experiences and rooms. beautiful scenery, with nice rooms and the food was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would go back again. Very nice ambiance. The concierge (who'smorigiy from Pittsburgh) was really friendly and nice to talk to. Comfortable accommodation; friendly and helpful staff; goos food at 'pointe in thyme' restaurant. Just lovely. We all loved our stay and the staff is amazing. Coming back in 2 weeks. Enjoyed a wonderful stay with my sister. Pool was perfect way to end the day. Walk ability, golf, friendly staff, view from room, the room, food. Beautiful setting and the groundskeeping was incredible!. The View ,The pools, The grounds, Friendly Staff. Location. Golf. Pools. Food. the climate, and view on top. We loved all the pools. Hotel style. They have great pools for kids!. The kids loved the pool. The complex is huge and is very steep, being on the side of a mountain. The hotel offers golf cart transport due to the steepness. Our room had a loud engine drone from either airconditioning or hot water service that went on and off all night. No complaints---our new go to spot in Phoenix!!. We had to walk quite a bit, but I think if we had asked we would have had access to a golf cart to get around. If so, I think they should advise people of that upfront. A cockroach in the room, but with this heat & in the mountains they just live there. But our concierge was a really nice guy who came along with a spray against insects. Far from evrything else; bus to phoenix or scottsdale could take an hour; expensive cab ride to the airport; resort fee charges even if not using any of the facilities; restaurant could be crowded on weekends, but thre are no other alternatives. N/A. Cost, parking, hard to find much negative, couldn't decide if we are a young or mature couple. No microwave or Usable refridgerator. Poor lighting in rooms. Very poor lighting on walkways to rooms .... scary at night. Facilities are old and getting run down. Nothing. All hidden charges. Bath tub clogged up wouldn't drain! The bathroom faucet dripped all night! The carpets looked dirty!. Waiting for room, the it being not what I asked for, then having to move again. When told we could have late check out, next day was not honored. Having 2 other families book rooms and also have issues. Sewage backup in an adjoining building. Terrible parking. Staff rude.
