  We had a thoroughly pleasant stay. The staff were very friendly and efficient and couldn't do enough for us. On arrival,we were pleasantly surprised to find that we had been upgraded to one of their anniversary suites which was very nice and made our spur of the moment trip away even more special. Breakfast was particularly good, with an excellent full Yorkshire, or Whitby kippers on offer, fresh fruit, homemad - Friendliness of staff, courtesy, professionalism, cleanliness comfort and lovely food / dining. The themed decor throughout could almost be an attraction in itself (nothing of faded former glory days here). Altogether a most pleasurable holiday stay which would be equally suited to business purposes. A family business working together (and it shows) thoughtfully investing in the business to mutual benefit.

  The decor was very stylish, very nice atmosphere, nice breakfast, nice owners, rooms very clean and furnished to a high standard. I only paid £55p/n for the room, very good vfm. My friends who were staying with relatives close by came in and saw my room and were very jealous and said would stay in this hotel in future. And not their relatives. We ... wat mensen zeggen » were all very impressed with the standard of this hotel, seemed to be of a much better standard then other similair properties close by. - Jane ,the owner welcomed us with enthusiasm, she explained the switches gadgets keys and meal times with a smile, she also tols us how to get to the harbour, the restauants and the famous chip shops. The room was large with a a four poster bed the ensuite was equally as big with a super shower. There was ample parking spaces and the breakfast was superb. we could not fault our hillcrest experience. would definately return and have no qualms to reccomend it to family and friends.

  we were greeted well and made to feel very welcome right from the off - the kids did dig into the complementary sweets a bit much though (sorry about that!). We booked Rooms 1 + 2 and both were decorated to a great standard. They were very comfortable, light and airy. The whole stay was a delight. The price is spot on as w - Everything, very welcoming hosts, location was great, opposite a park and a 6 or 7 minute walk to town centre, bit longer coming back - some of it uphill. Breakfast lovely, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts and full English of course. Jan and Dean even offer to supply plates and cutlery if you want to bring in a takeaway, to eat in the dining room or your bedroom. Very spacious room, recently decorated. We will be back

Rooms were ready early , very cozy clean. Bathroom only had sheer but t was still great. Breakfast was outta ths world. We pre ordered our breakfast for 8 am and were eating at 805 . Hotel very clean, felt like a home away from home. Loved it, would stay there again, location excellent.
