  The exceptional friendliness of the young staff was a joy to behold. They were clearly very proud to work at the Raithwaite and nothing was ever too much trouble. The welcome and help on arrival and the service in the restaurants at both dinner and breakfast were first class. We were accommodated in the separate new 'wing - In addition to the facilties one would expect from a hotel in this category, I was treated as if I was a relative of the staff, I really mean that. Being on my own, without overstepping the bounds of professionalism, they went out of their way to be accommodating, It was unfortunate that I needed a Doctor during my stay.
