  The host was welcoming and friendly. The information pack was useful. The room was very clean, spacious, comfortable and pretty with tv, tea and coffee facilities and a mini fridge. The breakfast offered a variety of choices - cooked breakfasts, cereals, fruit, toasts, jams etc. We travelled by car and the hotel had parking facilities.   Prior to our stay all our questions were answered fully by emails from the proprietors. When we arrived we were very impressed by the ambience and feel of the hotel. Our stay was enhanced by the friendly, helpful and efficient proprietors, the massive comfortable bed in a delightfully airy, clean room, not to mention the most marvellous breakfasts.... wat mensen zeggen » One of the best!!! - Fabulous, well decorated, bright room. Bottled water and fresh milk in the fridge. Separate shower and bath. Flatscreen TV with freeview and dvd player (range of dvd's in th room). I was helped to find a restaurant in the evening. Breakfast was superb, in a beautiful morning room. Enormous, very comfortable bed.

  Ferndale is family run and every effort is put into making the guests feel at home. The little touches in the rooms all count, lots of toiletries, china cups, covered drinking glass, plenty of beverages and tidy well equipped rooms cleaned every day by very efficient staff, free Wi-Fi and free view TV with modern plasma TV. Full English breakfast, boiled egg and soldiers, omelettes with fillings, hot chocolate as well as - Ferndale hotel is on its own nestled high up on a ledge surrounded by trees making it a very cosy romantic place to stay just what we wanted and the four poster room number 6 was clean and the bed was beautiful and comfortable. The owners and their close family are such wonderful people, big thanks to George the owners polite and friendly son and granny for the entertainment at breakfast and for all they do, they will go out their way to help you.
