Helpful staff who showed us all around the hotel and provided us with a travel cot. Upgrade to a very large family room. Good breakfast. Can't fault really particularly for the very reasonable price - The staff were very friendly and welcoming and helpful. The grounds with the river running through were beautiful and the hotel was very well kept.

With a sore knee to manage we emailed ahead and were assured the doctor was only doors away which proved to be excellent. We were given an easy access room. Rob and Steve both ensured we were very comfortable. Good wifi in the dining room.
Great choice of food with efficient service for breakfast. -

Excellent location in pretty town near family. Friendly staff with decent food though with limited choice for dinner. Atmospheric bar. Comfortable and clean room though a little small. Excellent breakfast but beware the tinned tomatoes!

The manager, Pedro, was great and especially kind when I got ill during
my stay (nothing to do with them, I'm currently in hospital being
treated for malaria after spending time in Tanzania). The breakfast -
according to my husband - was excellent and the little village is
lovely. Hotel is friendly and the surrounding area is beautiful. -

Very nice coaching inn with a long history and lots of character, a labyrinth of rooms and low beams. Conveniently located in the middle of Crickhowell (obvious once you spot it, but I managed to drive past it twice), with plenty of parking space through the old coach archway. The bed was very comfortable and I had an excellent supper in the bar -

The Bear is a great place to stay. The staff were friendly and the
welcome was warm. For an old building, the decoration is spot on and the
attention to detail is impressive. We ate in the bar both evenings and
had wonderful food. It was busy, but had a nice atmosphere. The
breakfasts were very good too. I'd highly recommend to anyone
staying in this part of Wales.

The eye for detail, from knowing my name the moment I entered the hotel, showing me my room, explaining the various routines and opportunities. I really liked the flexibility, when I said I would like to have dinner, immediately I was offered a table outside in the beautiful weather, overlooking a lake and farmland. The staff were terrific, nothing was too much trouble.

This is a very olde worlde Tudor timbered building with loads of
character in a beautiful country setting. The very old door into our
bedroom was about 5ft high, I am 6ft 3in but this only added to the
interest and the on suite room itself was clean, spacious and

We stayed at Cerdyn Villa for three nights and we really enjoyed our
stay there thanks to Bernice and John.They're wonderfull,friendly
and welcoming people who make their guests feel like at home and almost
as a part of their family.John helped us a lot by giving as tips where
to go and what places to visit.Not forgetting his lovely,tasty
breakfasts with daily,freshly baked bread and fresh eggs from their own

Vriendelijk personeel, goed ontbijt - The hotel concentrates on real comfort rather than frills. The couple running it are genuinely friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and welcoming, and well appointed for the price. There is no hair-dryer in the room but ample tea and coffee facilities, comfortable beds, and spare bedding in the wardrobe.
