  Upon arrival, it was clear to see the hotel was clean and fairly luxurious (Especially for a 'Holiday Inn'!). The staff were friendly and helpful, with the room cleaned regularly, with free water and chocolate each day (at least I think they were free!). Ideal location for both shopping as well as a quick underground trip (20 minutes by central line) to the centre of London and its attractions. ALso very convenient to get to City Airport and Southend Airport.

  The quirkiness; if you don't like quirky then don't stay here! The staff were young, helpful and keen to make our stay a pleasant one. We chose a room without a window which was fine for 1 night. Walk from the hotel and catch the DLR to Canary Wharf from East India (few mins walk, literally - and not main roads to cross), or take a 2 minute walk across a set of Traffic Lights to Blackwall DLR.
