Very historical old hotel centrally located in Penzance. From the train or bus station it is about a 10mins walk.
The single room was a good size with a large bathroom with a proper shower. Views from the window looked across the harbour.
The English breakfast was delicious. I needed to get bus times and the lady who assisted me was very helpful and also gave me a tour of the hotel so I could see the famous balcony. alle beoordelingen »
A very historic and beautiful hotel. The staff are superb. They are friendly and very informative about the area. The location is near train and town center shopping. The food is delicious. An extraordinary value for such an enchanting area.
It's within walking distance of the port for the ferry to the Scilly Isles. The street has a gastropub and a good restaurant There is also a modest in the pub attached to the hotel.
The beds are comfortable and the breakfast is generous.
The whole layout and free WiFi.
Stayed in Penzance a few times now, always by the Train station but they were looking for ridiculous money so found this place. Far better and only £4.- in a taxi from the station. Well worth it.
Location is very close to seashore walks. The building is historic and well restored, excellent pub serving good local food well priced, and VG real ale. Plenty of local customers - always a good sign.
Full of history; a wonderful unspoiled historic building!
Nice single room with sea view, worth every penny.
I enjoyed my stay immensely.
I would like to come back again..
Lovely historical hotel! Great Location. Friendly Staff. Great breakfast. Would stay there again.
The location, the friendly staff who have been a lot of fun and we enjoyed our stay here.
Location and friendliness.
everthing.
The staff were friendly. I enjoyed my stay there more than any hotel or B&B I have visited in the last 2 years. Down to earth attitudes, historical building, quiet and always good value for money food and drinks. Some of the rooms have a great view over the harbour. Penzance is a great base for touring south Cornwall.
Clean, comfortable bed, only stayed one night, so hard to say much.
The only thing I didn't like was that the bottom sheet on the bed wasn't fitted. Otherwise, no complaints.
The decor is very dated but in a nice, quirky sort of way. There is no lift and all the rooms are upstairs.
no problems.
At breakfast the cutlery was not meticulous, no teaspoon, no separate spreading knife.
liked it all.
Nothing.
The dinner I had in the bar was the worst meal I had in the 3 weeks I was in the UK. Thbe soup tasted of fat, the ribeye steak was tough and it and the veg with it were tasteless. Awful!.
