  This was better than the four hotels i stayed in early on in the week and i stayed in four star hotels and not one matched this place. Staff are very very welcoming. Very good for value. Landlord very helpfull on where to go on trips etc. You see what you get. The other hotels which are 4 stars i stayed in never met the pictures that are on letsbo... wat mensen zeggen » okhotel.com or laterooms this one did. Also the breakfast was fresh food and good size maybe be too big. - Although the weather was very hot when we stayed the room had big windows and was comfortably cool at night. The breakfast was excellent and Jan gave us lots of ideas of what we could see & do in the area. There is a kitchen on same level & it was useful to have use of the fridge. The family room is spacious with a big bathroom.

  We received a very friendly and helpful welcome, fairly late on a Saturday evening, when the hotel (and town) was very busy. Throughout our brief stay the staff were excellent and the breakfast (the only meal we took) was very good. Perfecte verhouding prijs/kwaliteit - Home from home, commanding views over Scotland's boarder country this olde worlde Scottish town is right on the m74, but very peaceful and with loads to do. The bar sells Innes and Gunn beers one of Scotland's best kept secrets and not to be missed. The cooking and breakfast in particular is really good but there is masses of local choice and tea shops. Simply a great place to stay. - The friendliness and sense of humour of the staff, the restaurant (really great food, not the usual English fried stuff, although they do serve a very good fish and chips), their initiative, although we didn't book it (not too sure when we would be back) they did keep a table for us in their restaurant for Saturday evening just in case we wanted to dine with them. Which, of course, we did!
