  When I realized that London hotel rooms are very, very small, I found the 9 Hertford Street apartment hotel. It's location is excellent: just off Piccadilly st., very close to Green Park underground station that brings you anywhere (including to and from Heathrow airport with the Piccadilly line) , a 25 minutes walk to Oxford st. We liked the space (similar to home) the ability to make meals & snacks and of course a cup of tea. The vancinity was very good. The location allowed us to travel around relatively easily. Plenty of restaurants around. Comfortable beds. The park just moments away with a fantastic playground for children. The concierge was great. - The location was excellent with a balcony directly overlooking the Thames with views of the London Eye, Shard and the Gherkin. The available parking space was a definite bonus bearing in mind the location. Extremely secure with automated gates at every entry point. No problem with obtaining both a travel cot and a high chair upon arrival
