  When I realized that London hotel rooms are very, very small, I found the 9 Hertford Street apartment hotel. It's location is excellent: just off Piccadilly st., very close to Green Park underground station that brings you anywhere (including to and from Heathrow airport with the Piccadilly line) , a 25 minutes walk to Oxford st.   The room was wonderful but in part that was because I had 6/7 (both) access to myself. With only a small room on its own - even with an excellent bathroom - I would have found it too small for C21st expectations. On the other hand, the staff(a manager?) was wonderful, including letting me use the breakfast room to do some emails etc. and next morn... wat mensen zeggen » ing breakfast was outstanding!! Yes I will be back. It was definitely as described and definitely not a flat pack chain hotel room. It's position in w - So many hotels are identical, and I stay in a lot of hotels! It was really nice to have something that was out of the ordinary for once, yet still in a good location (right next to Kings Cross station) and with functionality ... free wireless etc. A great breakfast, an extremely helpful and courteous staff, overall it made a very good impression.

  We loved the location. it served our purpose beautifully. I was extremely satisfied with the assistance I got from the person who welcomed us. they were very flexible and helpful. the apartment was lovely and the area quite interesting, with a lot of restaurant, pubs,french bakery, antiques, supermarkets open even on Sundays and a beautiful park w... wat mensen zeggen » ithin walking distance. we sat outside and enjoyed the terrace, the kids played ball ( we were lucky with the weather). I would definitely highly reco - the two big bedrooms and bathrooms. the kitchen and washing machine
