  Great hotel in a great location. Slightly out of the centre but only a 15 minute walk away. Lots of restaurants and bars only five minutes away. The biggest comfiest bed I've slept in for ages. Really funky modern interior. Yes the rooms are small but perfectly formed. The shower is simply amazing. The room was spotless with clean bedding ... wat mensen zeggen » and towels every day. The receptionists were really efficient and friendly. Would definitely stay there again. - Really lovely staff that were very helpful indeed, polite and pro-active. Great modern vibe to the place, nice residents as well. Really well situated in a nice quiet but cool part of town, reminded me of a mini NY warehouse. Nice places to eat close by. Amazing power shower and LED TV over the bed. Very comfy bed with crisp white sheets, apparently egyptian? Yes I will be going back....

  The fact that the staff were focussed on the guests' needs at all times. They were obviously working as a team under the ethos that enthusiasm and professionalism establishes the standard of the hotel - and it worked! The concept of the hotel was interesting (an eye hospital transformed into a luxury hotel) and that difference added to its charm.... wat mensen zeggen » The food was fabulous; the beds were extremely comfortable and the atmosphere was not pretentious or overbearing. We loved the whole experience. - We used Hotel du Vin as a base for a hen party and enjoyed drinks in the bar, booked Afternoon Tea and a Cocktail Masterclass, along with the accommodation. All the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Location was perfect for everyone and suited our trip. A lovely weekend and appreciated the little touch of having the Hen's name outside the function room we were using for the Cocktail Masterclass. They handled the situation very quickly and were able to make a new booking at the price we had originally booked. The rooms were very clean and we had an excellent view over Birmingham.
