Had a wedding to attend in christchurch, so just looked for a reasonable priced place to stay. We were very impressed, it is the old Hurn Railway station and breakfast was served in the pullman carriage, it was lovely. Very clean comfortable pub, with lovely beer garden and very good food, wished we could have stayed longer.

friendly and helpful especially Sylvia on reception who went to a great
deal of trouble to give me directions to the Catholic church. The
breakfast and all meals are excellent value for money. The rooms are
well equipped having everything you need for your trip. -

The welcome at reception unlike some four star hotels I have stayed in! This is nice to find when you are a mature lady travelling on your own to be made to feel welcome from the start. Also the fact that they did not realize I would be on my own and offered to change my ground floor room to an upstairs one if I wished to do so. -
