Rooms lovely, ours had a big veranda, there were single en suite available for 2 of our party. The food was excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly. - The welcome,which was cheerful; the food, when needed, was excelle... wat mensen zeggen » nt value, and the lengths they went to in order to ensure I had an early, quality breakfast before my 400 mile drive. I enjoyed my stay thoroughly.

  A great and unique hotel. The rooms were amazing and the staff friendly and helpful. The location is a great base for Cumbria, North Yorkshire and the North East. Breakfast was very good and the restaurant has a good menu. Couldn't recommend the hotel enough and would definately recommend a suite if one is available. - You get what you pay for !   This is a lovely family run hotel, and we were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. It's conveniently located right in the heart of the town, and has its own private car-park. The rooms were very spacious and the bathroom fantastic - the bath was huge! Everything in the hotel looked brand new, almost as though we were the first gu... wat mensen zeggen » ests there. Breakfast was cooked to order, and was really nice quality. This is a very busy pub/restaurant and the food was all home cooked adn tasty - Really lovely beds with crisp cotton sheets. Very comfortable. Friendly staff. Fabulous breakfast included. Lovely restaurant/pub in evening. Definitely more of a hotel/restaurant feel than a pub!
