    The staff were excellent. The owner was gracious, friendly, and informative. Yusef, the driver/guide for guesthouse tours and local trips was wonderful. He was friendly, funny, and a font of information in various languages. I usually avoid guided tours like the plague, but I would suggest considering theirs. The hotel also hosted, for a month, d - Aslan, the owner, was courteous and generous in greeting us. He gave us a choice of the top floor rooms and offered to send one of his assistants to help transfer our luggage from the previous hotel. With his knowledge of the region and, given existing winter road conditions, we took one of tours offered by the guesthouse and conducted by Aslan himself. With some of the travel warnings for the south-east Turkey, his presence made us feel secure. We had considered going alone but are pleased he

    Excellent value ,4 bed room for Euro 50-, quality towels, good aircon large carpark with shade, hotel offers tours and a tourist tat shop if that is what you want !! Owner organised kebabs, salad and drinks from a restaurnat accross the road and had it brought to hotel. - Outdoor terrace for breakfast and dinner.     I like the feeling of beeing in a private house where everything is cared for by the owner or caretaker in a personal way. As a single traveler it's an advantage to stay in a Konak. Limited rooms, and the guests staying like to speak to other guests, which creates a good atmosphere. Asude Konak is this kind of place. The owner Jale Hanim is a friendly lady and the two young ma - The owners were very gracious hosts. The food they prepared was the most memorable meal I had the entire trip! Jale's cooking was incredible! The hummus that she made was the best! I can't stop raving about the food! The Konak was definitely interesting. It was nice to stay in a traditional house and actually get to interact with the owners. I really felt like we were welcomed as guests of the family and not just transient guests.
