staff were ausume, frienly, well speaking english and helpfull. location was the best, in heart of best live street of city ,in Isteglal st. very good breakfast, they upgrade our reservation to suit with no eaxtra charge as was low season yet. safe box in front desk and they kept our luggage for 5 days till we came back of our local trip.

The hotel is beautifully designed, very class with baroque-style furnishings which I love. The hotel staff were the ones that really made our stay memorable. The were caring, funny and tried to help us with all our needs, from getting a change of room due to a faulty air-conditioning unit, to recommending the best kebab shop in the area. They were always around for a friendly chat and made us feel a home.

A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!
