  We stayed as a family of 4 at the Montes Pension Boutique as a city break to Santiago in July. The location is perfect, just around the corner from the cathedral and main square. Staff extremely friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The rooms are spotless, airy and bright with wonderful views from the balcony onto the square. A superb hotel in a central location. - fantastic staff--helpful, efficient, engaging. location--right in the middle of Santiago's "old city" and a block from their famed cathedral. Sound-proofed rooms--which i had no idea would be so important...and i still don't know how they do it! Tiny terrace with a great view and fresh air. Spotlessly clean-with great bed linens.

  The Hospederia was an old Hospital for Pilgrams and a monastery. It has been fixed up with rooms. The staff were helpful. The rooms clean as well as the bathhrooms. The breakfasts were routine buffet style and more than adequate. I had one meal ( lunch) in the dining room. They serve a Menu del Dia. Once again budget friendly , not a gourmet meal ... wat mensen zeggen » however service fast and friendly. It is close to the cathedral and having completed the Camino de Compestela it was a good place to unwind without ha - I liked everything! It's right beside the Cathedral. The building itself is beautiful, the rooms are basic but very clean. Breakfast was lovely, all staff were very helpful. The city is Santiago is beautiful, it's definitely a place I will go back to and would recommend it to everyone. There's such a good atmosphere there, everyone is relaxed and friendly.

  Having read lots of other reviews which said that it's not very private and the walls are made of paper, we weren't sure about staying there but in the end we were the only people in the hostel and it wasn't a problem. The attic was kinda cool and the view was nice. - A goog, little, clean hotel. A bit noisy place. A bit coldly in the room, espe... wat mensen zeggen » cialy in the morning.   The house was originally a 17th century farmhouse and has been perfectly modified to accommodate travellers. The included breakfast was as good as one would get anywhere. We stayed in for dinners and they were truly marvellous -- and we were able to say what we would like in the morning. We stayed at the house because we had become weary of the noise and bagpipes outside our hotel in Santiago - Perfect place to relax and to enjoy the peaceful environments, cordially service satisfied all my family, dinner is a great value to try, very close to Santiago de Compostela downtown, decorated many stars on the night sky, it was beyond my poor description, definitely would like to visit here again and again !
