I lost count how many times they checked that everything was all right, even to the extent that one sweet girl asked several times if everything tasted good...   Quiet delightful location, upon arrival we were offered an upgrade from a 1 bedroom studio to a 2 bedroom villa, this was a most unexpected and appreciated welcome.. The villa was the most spacious, comfortable well appointed accommodation we experienced in our one month tour of NZ. Clever design and positioning of each villa ,french doors leadin... wat mensen zeggen » g out onto sunny wrap around veranda made our stay very enjoyable. Acres of beautiful landscaped gardens surround the villas, pool, tennis courts, top - Free upgrade to 2 bedroom upon arrival with friendly, courteous staff. Great location just a short drive, or walk to Huka Falls and very convenient for Taupo itself about 5 mins drive to town. Quiet setting in your own lodge with a nice deck to sit outside and take in the peacefulness and enjoy the sunshine. The whole place seemed very well maintained inside and out with free wifi which is not so common in NZ. Would definitely stay again on a longer trip using it as a base to tour Tongariro and

  The appartments at Oreti are among the best we have tried during our 3 weeks travel across nz. The facilities include everything you could imagine like washing machine, dryer, etc. The views from the appartments over Taupo lake are fabulous Very close to Tongariro national park. - Loved the panoramic view over the Lake and the native birds in the... wat mensen zeggen » bush surrounding the resort. Had a very memorable gourmet evening meal at the resort's restaurant. A very relaxing stay - we had to prize ourselves off the balcony to leave. Worth driving from Wellington for. - stunning views , beautiful unit , plenty of room, made one feel like you were in a world of your own but with all the things you needs around you, a lucky find ended up staying three days it was just so nice didn't want to leave. lots of lovely places to visit in the area.

  Room was very spacious. It was very quiet, we didn't hear any noise the entire weekend. - Amba the Receptionist was very courteous, pleasant and extremely helpful

  It was far enough from Taupo to get away from the usual tourist crowd. Everything you need for a relaxing stay is available on the grounds (spa, hot pools and good food), so if you want a quiet retreat you don't even need to leave the resort. But if you want to sight-see, then the resort is still close enough to the good tourist places like the Hu... wat mensen zeggen » ka Falls, Craters of the Moon, and the Prawn Park. If you have kids, make sure you bring their bikes and/or scooters. - The surroundings are lovely and restful, staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Facility was well kept and nicer than expected given previous reviews I'd read. Food was very, very good. Would come back in a heartbeat!

  We got a bargain, off season best time to take a break, we started with only going to stay for a night until we walked into our apartment, we immediately booked another night, the next day we discovered the area and decided to book in for 7 nights and explore the Coromandel Peninsula using the Paku Lodge as a base, as the apartment has a fully equ... wat mensen zeggen » ipped kitchen, we stocked up with groceries, what a way to start the day, cooked breakfast on the deck, explore the Coromandel's and dinner at sunset - Loved everything, paku lodge was in the perfect spot only 40min each way from all the locations we wanted to visit. Also what shocked us with surprise was that all the utilities and facilities where all free at paku lodge, kayaking, fish and also the scenic view walk at the top of the mount it was defiantly a life time experience I will defiantly visit again this summer
