We arrived early and were given a very warm welcome. We found the hotel carefully restored and very comfortable, with a full range of facilities. The bar and restaurant were equally welcoming and comfortable, and overall we had a really wonderful stay and were really sorry to have to leave.

The apartments were very close to the city centre, so fairly handyfor restaurants. The receptionist was very helpful, coping with delays in preparing our rooms very politely. A complimentary bottle of wine helped, too! It was easy to get to the airport for our flight to Stewart Island. -

Our group of 30 forgot to order lunch (we assumed that the restaurant was open for lunch) during our conference - this was handled so well - we had a choice of two mains and two desserts delivered within 30 minutes. Wonderful Southland hospitality. CBD location. 10 minutes to the airport. -

The 2 bedroom apartment was absolutely sensational. Beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need. We have a comfy king size bed at home, but the beds in this apartment with the electric blankets, left us thinking that maybe we need to upgrade our beds at home :) Fantastic hosts, just perfect. -

He alled a very nice resaturant, where he knew the lady owner. She held the doors open for us. A very classy place.
