  Nice japanese style rooms. The hotel is on the main road but it is not noisy in the rooms. Good situated, next to the Shinkyo bridge, so you can easily reach the main attractions. Bus stop is in the front. The onsen area is nice. - Close to temples but we could have easily parked there as it was not busy. Amazing experience Best thing I saw and experienced in Japan Food was exceptional (service, rituals, tastes, atmosphere). Worth every dollar I spent. Location is amazing especially during October-November due to the magnificent foliage. This hotel is not just a place you come to stay - Beautiful location in a valley with pretty river running past outside the room window. Very traditional style building and room. Amazing traditional dining experience with own private room and barbecue fire in table, whilst dressed in (mandatory!) traditional attire supplied by the hotel. A real Japanese experience!! Helpful staff one of which spoke good English, rare in such an isolated spot.
